The design and manufacturing process of Albacore reel stems from a collaborative effort involving all the staff at Alutecnos. A commitment aimed not only at improving the technological content, but also at paying attention to design. The result is a product that stands out for both aesthetic and technical excellence with outstanding attention to detail. Such detail includes the infinite "anti-reverse" system employed in a trolling reel for the first time.

The frontal cam and lock release button for placing the automatically re-arming gear lever into "free" or "full" mode. Five bearings and gears made from tempered stainless steel guarantee further resistance from corrosion. The system for anchoring the reel to the rod is robust and reliable using four anchor screws. The drag washer is made from the latest carbon composite and is appropriately protected to ensure smooth and consistent use during the most intense battles, the occurrence of "stick-slip" is virtually eliminated.

All of the aluminium parts have been buffed ultrasonically cleaned, polished and anodized to the respective colour finish. All of the parts have been machined from bar stock alloy using CNC working processes and are subjected to rigorous dimensional specification control checks. Particular attention is paid to processing cycles and the careful selection of the highest quality of raw materials and components available. The result is a technically perfect product made to last a lifetime of use in the marine environment.

These reels come in silver as standard but there are further options to have a reel made for you in gold, blue/silver, blue, black/silver, black, red/silver or red at no extra cost. The reels are also available in left hand (for an additional charge) and you can also have the reel laser etched with your name, your boats name or anything else that will fit!

Albacore 12 Veloce: Veloce 12, integrated Drag pre-set and drag side plate with ergonomic design, single disc brake that can be set up to 25 lbs with guaranteed free spool, an ergonomic handle that thanks to its shape and angle, maintains the arm in a position of maximum thrust by minimizing power dispersion. This, combined with gear coupling, makes line retrieval fast and comfortable, even with a fast ratio equal to 6.2:1.

Albacore Gorilla 12C: “Gorilla 12C”, narrower compared to the Gorilla 12, integrated drag-preset and drag side plate with ergonomic design for the utmost comfort during fishing action. Retrieve ratio 4,4:1, a longer operating lever that, combined with the aluminium power handle, allows to generate a considerable power to better exploit the “Multi Drag Disc” (which can be set over 40 lbs with guaranteed free-spool).

Albacore Gorilla 12: Albacore 12 “Gorilla” reel. With its multi drag disc that can be set over 40 lbs, a guaranteed free-spool, and a 4,4:1 ratio. Expressly studied for extreme deep-jigging, silver anodizing, drag release button red coloured so that everybody can immediately understand that you are using an albacore 12 “Gorilla” reel.

Albacore Gorilla 12V: Compact, light and ergonomic with a 6,2:1 retrieve ratio and an unmistakable look. Designed and studied in all details for those who love vertical jigging and not only. Integrated drag pre-set and drag side plate with ergonomic design for the utmost comfort during fishing action. Multi drag disc brake that can be set up to 40 LBS with guaranteed free spool a longer re-entering drive lever that, combined with the ergonomic aluminium handle, allows to generate a considerable power to better exploit the fast retrieve ratio.

We take a simple approach to UK delivery, if you're in the UK and spend over £50 then we'll generally ship your goods for FREE. In some cases there will be a surcharge for outsize parcels to remote areas. We will contact you if this is the case and will endeavour to keep any additional charges to a minimum.

Charges for UK orders under £50 are:
Small Parcels e.g. hooks, flies, small lures up to 1kg: prices £5.75 to £5.95
Medium Parcels e.g. reels, large lures, regular line spools up to 2kg: prices up to £7.95
Large Parcels e.g. rods, multiple goods, large line spools over 2kg: prices from £11.95

These charges consider the current costs of packaging, handling and postage for smaller orders.

UK Next Day Upgrade

We also offer an upgraded next day delivery service from £9.99. This is a next working day service. Please be aware that you must place your order before 1:00pm for next day delivery. Orders placed after 1:00pm on Thursday should arrive Monday. Orders placed after the 1:00pm cut off on Friday will not be dispatched until Monday, for Tuesday arrival. We will always try our best to ship your goods as promptly as possible however there may be circumstances beyond our control that result in delivery being delayed. Please call if you require a Saturday delivery and we will try and arrange  – there may be an additional charge for this service. Next day services require a signature – please ensure someone will be in to accept delivery.
